In order to affirm the equal opportunity available in the Association, at the 9th Delegates’ Conference in 2002, a provision was inserted in the Association’s Constitution that specifically reserves a seat for a female member in the Central Working Committee (Ex-Officio, Women Affairs). The same applies to the Branch Executives. The language of the Constitution was also changed to be gender-conscious. Now, the Association can boast of being very gender sensitive as year-in-year-out, we encourage participation in and promote gender issues amongst our members. The Association inaugurated the Women’s Wings of the Association on Thursday, 18th February 2016 and the activities were coordinated by the National Ex-Officio, Women Affairs, Comrade Olivia Odunukwe. After the 14th National Delegates Conference, Comrade Bunmi Adesayo was appointed as the National Ex-Officio, Women Affairs
